Juaner and Me

Florida 2006

I met Juan Enrique De Brigard - JUANER- in 2000 when he was directing the Sports Committee of CUNDEPORTES, the sports organization of the State of Cundinamarca. I was the trainer of the Dressage Team of the Equestrian League of Cundinamarca for the Colombian National Games. After a very successful result in the Games, Juaner offered to a group of riders to direct our sport careers. The program included creating and supervising a training and competition plan.

The group turned out to be only me and, since then, I have been working with him.

The plan for 2001 was reaching the National Team for the Bolivarian Games, winning the Test A class in the FEI World Dressage Challenge and winning the National Championship in Fourth Level with my hanoverian mare CHINA TOWN. 

Results were more than brilliant:

• TEAM GOLD MEDAL - BOLIVARIAN GAMES
• INDIVIDUAL SILVER MEDAL - BOLIVARIAN GAMES
• BEST RESULT IN THE WORLD - TEST A - FEI WORLD DRESSAGE CHALLENGE
• NATIONAL CHAMPION - FOURTH LEVEL

Thanks to that, the Equestrian League of Cundinamarca named me as their BEST ATHLETE and I was selected in between the BEST 6 ATHLETES OF THE STATE OF CUNDINAMARCA.

In 2002 we got selected in the Colombian National Team to compete at the ODESUR GAMES in Brazil but, due to a veterinary restriction, we could not go.

Starting the process for the selection of the team for the Central-American and Caribbean Games my mare got injured and had to be operated.  Saddly, she died after the surgery... but that did not stop the success.

With SAFARI, a beautiful stallion owned by Mr. Claus Sohelke:

• FIRST PLACE IN TEST B - THE FEI WORLD DRESSAGE CHALLENGE
• NATIONAL CHAMPION - THIRD LEVEL

In 2003 with RAMSES, a very beautiful and talented stallion owned by my friend Mrs. Claudia Téllez and her family:

• NATIONAL RESERVE-CHAMPION - FIRST LEVEL 

At the end of 2003 Juaner moved to Florida and facilitated my way here.

And we married in January 2006!
